Hello and thank you for listening to the Animal Friendly podcast!
I'm your host, Samantha Connolly.
I live in Galway, located on the wild, west coast of Ireland, with plenty of blustering Atlantic breezes to prove it.
I love animals and I've always tried to have interaction with animals throughout my life, be it dogs, horses, cats, marine life, wildlife, whatever!
I started the podcast with the intention of meeting and interviewing people in Ireland who work with animals but my scope quickly widened as I realised there were so many stories I wanted to tell.
This is an independent podcast (yours truly being host, writer, editor and producer) so I can sometimes be stuck for time but I try to produce one episode a month.
The episodes are documentary style which means I record interviews and then I edit the audio together with music and sound clips. I am so grateful when guests trust me with their stories so I really try to make the episodes as interesting, informative and entertaining as possible.
I learn so much with each episode that I make, and I am full of admiration for all the amazing and inspiring people who are out there, trying to make the world a better place for animals. It's a privilege and a pleasure to tell their stories.
